Ovulation Confusion after D&C

So i have been using the clearblue OPK and the first 2 days i tested i got the O than on the 3rd day i got the flashing smiley face for the next 4 days in a row and still no solid smiley, Do you ovulate after a D &C . My doctor said i should expect AF between 4-5 weeks after my procedure im going on week 5 no AF in sight no signs AF is on here way here either? Anyone else going through this ???

Sorry you are going through this, it is definitely a long road. You may or may not O after a D&C. My doc said it should take on average 6 weeks to get a period, so you're not out of the norm yet.

I've had a similar situation to yours. I had a D&C in February and we began ttc in April. I had positive opks for 8 days in a row. YES, 8 DAYS! I was going mad trying to figure out why they were not going negative. About a few days before my period was due, they finally did, but I never had any bleeding start. I took an hpt and it was positive. I guess my surge lasted longer than usual because I had conceived. Good luck!

Lilmiss : that makes me feel better because im on my 5th straight day of peak fertility so hopefully i will get pregnant soon

I didn't know this either until I asked my midwife why this kept occurring for me. She said something about your ovaries continue to produce the LH hormone to help get sustain the egg until it implants, then once it implants the hcg hormone takes over which helps to sustain the pregnancy. Your opks may stay positive during the time the egg is released to the time it implants. Once it implants, the LH hormone is no longer needed so your opks turn negative and hcg begins to be produced, then a few days later once there is enough hcg built up in your system to be detected on a test, you get a

I had a d&c 21 days ago. I'm hoping to ovulate soon as I've been getting ewcm for the past 4 days but I'm still getting faint bfps on ic's. Can you ovulate while still getting bfps? Some say you can and some say you can't. I know when I've ovulated coz I get really sore boobs and I'm still waiting for that to happen! Hope I don't have to wait weeks and weeks to ovulate and then get af! X

I had my D&C 36 days ago so not long before you had yours im having a really hard time with the OPK by that i still havent gotten a solid smiley face meaning i have ovualted im just getting the flashing smiley face which mean peak fertility. I may ask my doctor for some more guidence
