Ovulation Confusion

So I did my first ovulation test this morning and it was negative; according to Pink Pad and count down to pregnancy site I am meant to OV on Sunday so should I be doing these after Sunday?? The instructions said to start them from CD 11 which is today; I didn't use FMU and tested at 8:30am.

you will start to see your positives 3 days before you ovulate, the 3rd day will be the strongest line, and is the day your egg is released. the egg dissolves after 12 hours, so make sure you cover all 3 days just to be safe!

Thanks, that's a big help; this cycle is my first off the pill so it's all a bit of guess work at the moment. If I OV on Sunday we're going to bd tonight, tomorrow and Friday morning as I am away Friday night til Sunday evening (grrr, so annoyingly timed hen weekend). Hopefully that will be enough to cover it??

when your testing ovulation you need to test with afternoon wee and the hormone for ovulation in produce in the morning so is strong in the after, they tell you to start testing many days before it so you can make sure you catch it cos sometimes you ovulated earlier or later, the closer to get the line will start getting darker so dont worry
