Hi all

I’m kinda new but not if that makes sense

I had my daughter 11 years ago she wasn’t planned I fell pregnant in a toxic relationship. Fast forward a after spending 8 years on my own IV met an amazing man he’s taken on my daughter as his own but we would like a child together. We have been together 3 years. We stopped using protection a year and a half ago and IV been logging my period so I know when my cycle is. My cycle is irregular but gp dosent seem concerned I have a 35 day cycle (spoke about it when I went for something else) this month I decided to try ovulation sticks and today is ovulation day according to 2 apps I have so IV been doing ovulation tests all week and I’m still negative I don’t know if I should be concerned or if I should carry on doing them or if I should just go to the gp.

any advice welcome

I would keep testing. I generally have a 30 day cycle with a 14 day luteal phase (days after ovulation), so I typically ovulate on day 16. On cycle months that are irregular, I always have a luteal phase of 14 days but sometimes I just ovulate later. The apps aren't always accurate so I would just keep testing to find your norm. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply

I’m all new to this wasn’t this hard last time lol

This sounds so much like me. My daughter is 9 in March. I've been with my hubby for nearly 7 years this April. We tried for 2 years and nothing happened. He ended up with fibro. So we took a break. He just asked me last week to start trying again. I've just turned 34 and I don't hold much hope for getting pregnant. Especially with his lack of sex drive :(. But I will try whatever I can. I've just bought some conceive plus supplements for both of us. I'm using ovulation test strips too. Like you, I have a long cycle. Drives me up the walls. As if I have a bad diet my period doesn't come on when I expected it. Last month it was 64 days. I'm normally 33/34. Praying this year we get lucky. Less stress on our backs too.
I wish you the best of luck. don't give up. Try take your self into a quiet area or next bath to de-stress.
