So... I went for my day 14 scan today on 3rd cycle of clomid... And my specialist said my ovulation is 'perfection'. Most people would love to hear this.... But he has been saying everything looks great since day 1. It's been nearly 2 and a half years now..... Dh has been tested and is more than fine. I seem fine, so what could it be?!
My consultant said its not ovulation that is the problem, so need to start looking at other things..... What else can they/do they test for??? :/ thank you!!

I can totally sympathize how frustrating it is when everything seems to be perfect but yet you still haven't gotten a bfp. :(

Aside from, of course, IVF, they can have you do laparoscopic surgery. It is a minimally invasive surgery where they can get a good up close look at your reproductive organs. Lap surgery is the only way to diagnose endometriosis, which is often a significant cause of infertility that frequently has no symptoms at all.

The good thing about a lap is that a lot of the time, they can remove endometriosis, unblock tubes, remove cysts etc. The bad thing about it is that although it's miminally invasive, it is still surgery and you will have to be put under general anesthesia and have to take a few days or weeks to recover. For this reason, many doctors will only do a lap after trying all other less invasive strategies like Clomid for women whose only symptom is infertility.

Thanks for your reply!! Unfortunately I have already had a lap and dye. A cyst was found a year and a half ago (not that big), but my consultant wanted it removed. Turns out is wa paraovarian so wouldn't have affected me. My tubes were clear and no endo found. Are there many other things it can be?? I'm so confused! .....at least I can rely on the people on here to not tell me to 'just relax'! Teehee!

Sorry hayley didn't realize you'd already had a lap! Yeah, the "just relax" advice is the worst!

I think there's some testing they do with your immune system. I don't know much about it, but I've seen some research about NK killer cells. A lot of it is cutting edge stuff.

Anyway, hang in there. The good thing is that everything is perfect and once you find the cause, you should be good to go! Also, don't give up on Clomid just yet. Sometimes it takes a few rounds for that to work and a lot of women even get a bfp *after* stopping Clomid. I guess sometimes there are some subtle hormonal imbalances that sometimes get sorted out after Clomid.

Thanks do much for your help :) I havent got any more clomid prescribed so will see what happens. I did hear about autoimmune things but wasnt sure if they can test for it..... Gona have a look now... Thanks again :)
