Ovulation/OPK question??

I just came off bcps at the beginning of the month. On the 13th, I started doing
Opks to try and find out when I'll ovulate. I didn't really expect to the first cycle, but wanted to know about it if I did. I took an OPK and got a line almost as dark as the control line. The following days I took more and the line continued to get lighter not darker. Did I ovulate & I just missed it with my OPK or did I not ovulate at all this month? I guess my question is is there an LH surge at all if you don't ovulate?

I use clear blue digital and sometimes when I look at the line its not as dark as the control but it still says I have a rise in LH so that means you will ov in the next 48hr I think sorry I cant be much clearer I to have asked for help re ov kits

You can definitely get a positive OPK (LH surge) and not ovulate. As far as I know, the only way to confirm ovulation is by temping. Hope this helps!

I just asked an ob/gyn nurse and she said there is NO lh surge
unless you ovulate.
