Ovulation or Period once HCG levels drop to zero

I just got my blood results back for this weeks HCG check and my levels went down from 116 last week to 25 this week. The nurse was happy with how fast my numbers are dropping, and thought by end of week I should be down to zero.
My question is.... once my levels hit zero - will I ovulate or get my period? I can't seem to find any solid answers on this but I'm guessing it varies from woman to woman. I'll be 3 weeks this week post d&C.

Hi hunny. Once HCG has left your system you should ovulate. Are you tracking ovulation ? I had positives last week two days after a faint HPT. I also miscarried last month. And an TTC after a blighted ovum. Love to you xxx

Oh thank you so much! I'm so sorry for your loss dear I started tracking it but then I stopped due to wanting to see the HCG results (I didn't want to keep wasting OPK's if I was only going to get my period after HCG levels drop).
I think starting tomorrow again I'll start tracking. I only want to track this month to know when to expect my period. We are waiting out this cycle and will try again next.
