Hey! There's a good explanation here https://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/inovtesstrip.html

What you basically need to do is first pee into a cup or container of some kind. Then, holding the opk by the coloured end, dip it into the urine. There will be a little line on the test that says "max" - don't dip further in than that. Leave the tip in the urine for maybe five seconds then put the test down and wait for results. With most OPKs you can read the results within 5 mins but some say up to half an hour - check the packet

The control line is the line closest to the handle (the coloured bit) and furthest away from the tip. The line underneath is the test line. In order for the opk to be positive, the test line must be equal to, or darker than the control line. That means ovulation will happen around 12-36 hours after the first positive opk. It's perfectly normal to have a visible test line for most of the month, but as above for the test to be positive it must be quell to or darker than the control line.

Also, it is best not to do OPKs with first morning urine, as LH (the hormone that surges to cause a positive) doesn't end to be in the urine until later in the day. Personally I do two tests a day - one at around 1pm and one about 9pm

Hope that help :)
