ovulation test confusion . Help

I'm on cycle day 7 and I started testing day 5 . There was a clear line but it was clearly negative . The next day the line was lighter and now today it's barely visible . I clearly havent ovulated yet . Does this sound ok ? I just presumed the line would keep getting darker rather than lighter .

The levels vary throughout the whole cycle, it's normal!
