Yes its possible thats what causes fraternal twins, its not common but it happens.
What is more common though is if the body has failed to ov the first time it will try again so you could have all the signs going along with hormone releases just no egg so it starts all over again or continues till it releases a egg

yeah It may happen.....sometimes our body prepares itself for ovulation but fail to do so foe any reason.....So it may happen again......
However, I read somewhere that an OPK may be positive even in pregnancy as OPK may pick HCG hormones. I dont want to raise ur expectations. Just Hope for the best, FX lot of baby dust to u :)

It is possible to ovulate twice. or maybe the first time , you got a hormone surge, but did not ovulate. Then you might have had another surge and ovulated late.

Maybe you're preggo. Ovulation hormones and pregnancy hormones are pretty similar (but different) and if you're pregnant and it's late enough in your cycle, some OPKs can pick up a pregnancy and it'll show as ovulation.

I think that you need to take a pregnancy test! If it is negative, I would read it as your body geared up to ovulate but didn't and ovulated on the later time.

You do not need to keep testing for your LH surge once you get the first positive result. It is the first positive result that you are after.

See this website for more info: https://www.inciid.org/faq.php?cat=infertility101&id=1#5

I thought it was possible to ovulate 2 EGGS at one time, but not TWICE in one cycle.....????

I would also think that either the OPK is picking up an early pregnancy, or your body tried to ovulate and gave you an LH surge and then for some reason didn't ov, and is trying again....hence the second surge.

I thought fraternal twins were 2 eggs popping AT THE SAME TIME/within one 24-hour period?

I would think ovulating 2 eggs at seperate times during one cycle would be very very very rare.

I'm pretty sure you can pop 2 out and 2 separate times, but it's EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY rare. Most likely, body geared up to O but didn't and is now trying again or you're in the early stages of pregnancy.

That makes more sense, it being very very rare. That's what I figured....possible, but very unlikely. lol

Thanks

thanks for all the respojnses.. My period is late so im hoping this is it . its so hard not to get exsited

I'm in the same boat. Now I'm confused when I'll actually start my period, or when I can test?!!!! Let me know how it turns out for you!

Nope fraternal twin eggs can happen anything from 12 hours to 2 weeks apart (there has even meen a case of nearly a month apart) its not as rare as you would think, I had 3 sets of fraternal twins in my year at school and another 2 sets in college, 2 lots of them that I know of (never asked with the others) where from eggs just other 2 weeks apart.

wow thats crazzy... im gonna wait until friday to test .! I diid on the 3but it was deff too early

ya its kinda hard cause i didint know when i should test due to the two diffrent ovulations so idk if when i test again it a bfn ill go to the dr.s . I hate this cause i want it so bad i dont wanna be let down .

I still think it's pretty rare....what are they drinking where you're from? lol :) (I want some...lol)

Everything I google about it either says A. It doesn't exist or B. That it's so insanely rare that it just about doesn't exist. lol

Seriously...that's insane that you've personally witnessed it that many times! I'd say that's pretty darn special.

well weather i did actually ov twice i hope one of them times worked ! now im just debating on when i should test cause if i got pregnant by the first ov i would be okay to test but if it was the second time its one been 9 dpo so even tho its driving me crazzy im gonna wait until atleast monday . cause i did test on the 3rd and got a bfn .

That's a good idea. Then you have both your bases covered, so-to-speak. lol

Do you temp at all, so you could confirm 2 ovulations if that's the case? Crazy.
