Ovulation

So I've been using a cheaper set of ovulation tests. (still $25 though! )the first one I used was dark purple, but not as dark as control. Instructions said it needed to be AS dark or darker. Tested like that for 2 days, then went much lighter. Decided to wait to test. Today I tested and there was no line what so ever. So the days that there was a dark line, does that mean I was sort of ovulating?

This is all new to me, and I'm being very impatient as its only week 3 since removing birth control.

It's possible you missed the big lh surge if you're only testing once per day.
Also it could be that your body was trying to ovulate but couldn't quite generate enough of a surge due to having only just stopped birth control.
