Pain after c-section!!

My son was delivered by c-section due to complications 3 and half weeks early, this was 7 weeks ago and for the last few days Ive been getting bad period type pains almost as if my period was going to start also have felt a bit pmtish even hubby commented on it. I am breastfeeding and understood that I wouldnt get my period for a while Im not bleeding or anything just in a lot of pain. Has anyone else had this? Is it normal? Could my period be on its way?

Ive got to the point that Id rather it just started (never thought Id say that as have always suffered from very painful periods) so I knew where I was.

I had exactly the same thing! I would get these horrible cramps, just like a really bad period, and just knew it was around the corner. But it never came, still hasn't. It lasted a few days and has happened twice. It may be ovulation?? I used to have cramping (although not painful) during ovulation. I just mentioned it to the doc on the 6-week appt. and she didn't even comment, so I'm assuming it's normal (I am not bf).

Let me warn you that they lie when they say you wont get your period while BF lol I had mine all along (( The pain is normal sweetie for at least 12 weeks .

Im now at 4 months after and IM still crampy sometimes and tender to the touch. The PMS is normal as well as your pregnancy hormones are still lingering inside .

It could be so many things. I am four months past section and no period. Yay! But, it could be gas, over-exertion, cramps, etc. Have your doctor check you out to be sure though.
