Greetings ladies!

I am having the Panorama blood test done at my doctors office on Thursday (two days from now).
I am 10w6 currently and absolutely dying to know if my first is blue or pink!

Also interested in the other factors the test looks for - it analyzes the babies blood in mine to look for any chromosome abnormalities such as an extra x or y or possibly Down Syndrome.

Have any of you ladies had the test done? It is non invasive - just a blood test from me :)

Before any negative remarks (have been on another pregnancy site and saw absolutely shocking responses regarding Panorama and posters upset that the OPs have been excited to find out the gender in addition to the health of the baby...)

The test was original discussed due to a family history of occurrences of Down Syndrome. This will not in any way effect our feelings towards the pregnancy but I would rather know and be prepared for the needs of my baby.

Finding out that we will also know if we are expecting a boy or girl is a positive note on an otherwise stressful test.

I had the test done the day I turned 9 weeks. Found out results just before 11 weeks!

What were your results?
(and Hi Neighbor! Rhode Island here! Where in MA are you from?)

Oh hello neighbor! We were outside of Boston but moved about 10/15 minutes from the NH border to be closer to my family. Oh the plus side tax free shopping up there! Haha.

My results were low risk for everything (expected since I was only 25 at the time and had no risk factors) and baby is a girl! My OBs office has a deal with the Panorama company where as long as the blood draw is done in the office the test is covered. My insurance still paid a good part of it but the rest was covered by this deal they have. So even though I had no risk factors I got the test.

Mine was covered too - they are doing a study on genetic markers found in the blood and lineage so since both DH and I went to the appointment and he provided a cheek swab it was free and not even run under insurance for billing. I can't wait for the results...

Congrats on your baby girl!

That's cool! I know one other person whose husband did the cheek swab with it, but before that never heard of it. We used a donor so that wasn't an option for us, but it was never mentioned to all but that one person I know who have had the test done.

When do you get your results? We got them bright and early the 7th business day! They told us 7-10 business days.

They told us 7-10 business days too! I had it done on Thursday 4/30 so I still have a few days to wait. It's driving me crazy!

Oh yeah. You're at like day 2 haha. Do you have any feelings of what gender is?

I think a boy, DH thinks a girl. We'll take anything! (Have been TTC for nearly 3 years so we aren't picky anymore!)
