Has anyone else experienced this, Im 6 weeks 1 day, today at work my pants feel tighter then they did just a few days ago. I know its probably just bloat but im considering purchasing some maternity work pants. Any one else experiencing this?

Yes I felt bloated right away at 5wks. Pants have been snug since then. But I'm not buying any new clothes until I'm showing. Until then leggins leggings leggings leggings.

I feel bloated like a walrus too! And I'm only 4+ weeks! Ugh... not sure about maternity clothes though. For now I'm just wearing pants that are a little looser around the waist, flowy sheath-type dresses, and my elastic waist skirt (which has become my new best friend!)

my bloat is on and off so it varies for me really. it is uncomfortable tho.

Yes, me too, when I wear trousers or jeans they feel so uncomfortable I can't bear them digging in cos my stomach area feels sensitive with feeling nauseous and crampy. Im living in skirts at work and leggings and tracksuits at home !

I feel exactly the same, my stomach looks like someone has put a blownn up balloon in there! I really am thinking about maternity in the very near future!

Add me to the awfully bloated list. My regular pants are so uncomfortable. Today I'm wearing a pair that are 2 sizes bigger than I usually wear and they're barely loose.

I've been guzzling water like a madwoman trying to get my body to release the bloat but I think I'm just adding fuel to the fire. :haha:

I've ordered a pile of trousers in the next size up to get me through the bloating stage. When I start to show then I'll buy proper maternity clothing

i have purchased a pair of maternity jeans already at 6+1 weeks, the ones with adjustable elastic at the sides so on days im really bloated slacken them and not so bloated tighten them, defo a fantastic buy and much more comfortable for both of us

I keep on wondering if the guzzling helps or hurts! Seems like I've seen both claims, and seems like I'm bloated no matter what!

Massively bloated! Look like I'm about three months pregnant already!!! I was chubby to begin with but this is silly!

I'm bloated too. My normal jeans really hurt me on Tuesday, so today it was leggings!

oh god i feel like this too, mu DH keeps saying your the same as youve always been, but i know im alot more bloated as it hurts to sit down with my pants fastened! been looking at maternity pants and tops, so going to buy some to start wearing from christmas i think :) how exciting.

I have been experiencing cramps and aches in both sides of my womb is that normal? because my egg released from the left ovarie so i can understand the left aches but not the right? strange, unless its just growing, and my boobs are increasingly sore today even just to move is hurting, lol but i do love it as it shows that i am actually pregnant :haha: xx

I have no idea if it's normal, but I've been having a similar thing. I'd read somewhere that you sometimes feel the cramping focused in the area where the seed implanted. But I've also heard that the ovary that released the egg may continue to cramp for a while as it releases progesterone to support the pregnancy. Not sure about either one, but it does fit my symptoms.

I sometimes cramp on my right (which is the ovary that released this OV) and sometimes on the left, but not really by the ovary, a bit closer to center.

Anybody else shed any light on this?

I've been getting cramps as well, left, right up / down! Not sure what is 'normal' and what's not!

im guessing its normal if we are all getting it  even though it does make me wonder. thanks for the reply ladies.

xx

Mine started getting tight at 5 weeks! I'm almost 8 weeks now and barely fit in my sweatpants, let alone jeans!

Going shopping for a bella band soon and a pair of maternity sweats, I think.

I went out to dinner last night and had to unbutton my pants before we left!!! All i had was soup and salad and my belly was huge!!! Bella bands here we come, ladies!! :)

Phew! Glad im not the only one. I guess im not going to worry too much about wearing maternity clothes already, im pretty sure im going to have to be in them within the next four weeks anyway.

Oh and about the cramping, im pretty sure that is normal, as long as it isnt severe and accompanied with bleeding then its probably just the uterus streching.

I think that most pregnant women feel this. I had it with my last pregnancy for the first and second trimesters (after that, there are so many other things distracting you that it's hard to pin down any single discomfort). It's probably just the uterus stretching and/or preparing to stretch. That's especially the case if the cramps you feel are around your bikini line at your hips. It's called round ligament pain, and they say it starts around the second semester, but my OB said it can start as soon as you implant. I have twinges and tugs in that entire nether region all the time. I think that so long as you're not in real pain (and, of course, if you're not bleeding), there's nothing at all to fear. I actually find the sensation kind of comforting. It means that my baby is growing!
