Pap smear question.

Hello,
I am kindof embarassed to ask, but can a pap smear bring on AF? Its been a few years since I've had a PS and I can't remember if this happened last time. I went to Doc yesterday to check out a suspected cyst down below and decided that since I had my pants down I should have a PS at the same time. Anyway I spotted a bit afterwards, then today if seems that AF has started. Its 1.5 weeks early. A xo

i know that it can make you spot a bit sometime, but i dont think it should bring on a full AF.

It has for me. Horrible! Last time I went I was due to start within a day or two and my OB warned that there was blood on the cervix so I would probably start very soon and I did. However, if I am due for AF within a couple of days, DTD will almost always make it start immediately. I don't know if I'm weird but I have always assumed that any sort of intrusion will make the witch show.

I was wondering the same thing. I had a pap last Thursday, and beginning at 8 dpo, started having brown spotting. I usually have brown spotting about 12 hours before af, but it has been three days of it now!! It has become a bit heavier and more crampy today, so I expect af full force soon. But, I had been getting my hopes up that it was implantation bleeding (the timing and the consistancy of the spotting seems to match. I donno.) . . .We'll see.

I was just going to say, if DTD can bring on a period I think it's possibly a PAP test could too
