I've been avoiding pineapple and papaya my entire pregnancy, but as I get closer and closer to my due date and would dread an induction (who wouldn't?), I'm looking at ways to ease labor and delivery. I doubt diet can actually cause labor, but it seems like several things help to prepare. I've been drinking RRL tea since my 32nd week. I get a fair amount of braxton hicks and am 1cm dilated since my 35 week check. One of my protein powders for shakes/smoothies actually has papain and bromelain in it. I haven't used it my entire pregnancy, but am wondering if maybe I should start putting it in smoothies. There are a few articles about bromelain shortening labor and papain causing contractions. What do you guys think?
