Anyone got any tips on reducing breastfeeding? I'm wanting to partially wean Kaya so she only really feeds before bed, naps and first thing in the morning. I think it might help with our sleep problems. Any tips would be appreciated.

She'll drink from one without a spout lol. She won't touch bottles.

Is there a reason why you want to wean her? if she was alittle older you could distract her but shes still young so it might not work so well. As soon as she has physical contact with you it will be difficult, its not like you can avoid picking her up..Did you say that she has sleep problems? x

I'm not wanting to totally wean her, just cut down on her breast feeds. During the day, if I'm not there, she can go over 6 hours without a feed. It would be nice if I could leave her with people every now and again. I've started going with the 'don't offer don't refuse' approach at the moment. She doesn't need to feed from a nutrition point of view as she's on three meals a day with snacks in between.

Neither of us are ready to totally give up, but I'm ready to start cutting back. She doesn't get fed at all during the night now, but she still wakes up a lot to ask for it.

I was adviced to offer water in the night or get DH to get up instead, did not really work though, good luck with what ever you decide x
