I passed my GTT test (I obviously failed the first one). My numbers were:
Fasting 4.1
1 hr: 8.6
2hr: 8.2
Yeah, so I thought they were high enough to at least be considered borderline, but my OB said all looked good. However, I decided to begin independently testing with a glucose meter. If I am on a strict diet no extra sugars, half the carbs my sugar is around 6. However, the moment I decide to eat regularly it goes up! Yesterday after 1hr after eating rice/chicken and a tablespoon of ice cream (yes, only a tablespoon!) it went up to 10!!!!
I just wanted to know what you ladies thought...or what course of action you would take? Of course I will talk to my OB next week....
