Anyone else had problems getting there childs passport off there ex?
tried to get my daughters and ex refuses to hand it over. Have sent lawyers letters and hes ignored them. Went to the police and there not interested because its civil. The police told me to report as lost. Tried that but they wont do it either as he signed for it. Im terrified hes planning on taking them abroad without telling me. i also asked for our sons birth cert back. (i know i can buy a new one) but i paid for this one and needed it for nursery. He refused to give me it saying he doesnt have it just now, and refuses to say where it is.

The law is an ass. Im so angry hes getting away with everything. Dont know where to turn now

I'd not let him have your kids alone if he's saying he's gonna take them away without you knowing. He can't do that if you don't agree. I'm pretty sure it's kidnap? Could be wrong though. As for their birth certificates if you're in uk you can just take some ID and go to a registry office or place where they register births and buy another one. I think you can order them online too :)

He sounds like a right arsehole x

I cant stop his access as it was done through the courts. Its crazy. I know i can get another bc just the principle is i bought that copy when my son was born. Id never stop him taking a copy off me if he needed it.

You can get a copy of the birth certificate from the registry office. Even if you take the one he has he can still obtain a second copy. He has 50/50 rights if his on the birth certificate, so unfortunately if he has their passports and take them out of the country without your knowledge it is not kidnapping, as he is their parent. Talk to the passport office and your lawyer to see if you can get an order to stop him removing the children from the area without your permission. Honestly his probably just trying to scared you, my ex did that but got a shock when I took him to court.
