i had the implanon before. NEVER AGAIN! it messed me up so bad. I have been TTC for over 3 years now and things have been much worse than they are now, but i feel differently about the situation now. Long story short...Im getting fit to join the Navy since my husband is Med. boarding out of the Army...obviously i cant get pregnant easily but sure as i dont do some kind of BC i will get pregnant now that i dont want to :dohh:

so i guess my question is...anyone with PCOS have success with going on and coming off of any particular type of BCP's? im thinking of going on either seasonale/seasonique or nuvaring..although i am kind of afraid of nuvaring because i am prone to infections...suggestions?

hi! i have pcos and am currently on the progesterone only pill. i was on the combined pill a while back, before i knew about the pcos, but i didnt really get on with it...my main issue with the progestone only pill is that you dont really know when/if youre going to bleed...you dont have any week off, so im really irregular with it. i think the nuvaring you will at least know when youre going to come on, but maybe talk to your doctor about the risk of infection?

i dont have much experience with coming off bc since having pcos, but i know in the past whatever i was using at the time didnt seem to help regulate me as was expected. id probably suggest the pill, or maybe even the depo shot? but tbh, all of the effects and things are individual to you. i know people that have said they hated the fact that they were really irregular after coming off bc, and other people who have said everything went back to normal. your best choice is probably to discuss all of the options with a doctor. you might find that the merina or something is actually better for you.

good luck!! xx
