Hi guys. My doc just called and told me my tv sono should a bunch of follicular cyst..hence PCOS is likely. Will start clomid next month after my next period.

I'm super sad and freaking out

Does anyone have any success stories to share w me??

Unfortunately I do not have a success story , But I just had my U/S and I had some very tiny ones that indicated pcos. My doc did prescribe me metaformin. You probably should have got that as well to go with the clomid. Some ladies have just gotten pregnant with just metaformin. I was going to start my Clomid but after SA results my doctor referred us to an FS. There are plenty ladies on this site that has gotten pregnant with pcos. There is plenty of hope. Baby DUST!!!

Oh wow I haven't heard of metaformin?? All shes giving me is provera if my cycle goes longer than 35 days and the clomid. What is that one for?

Thanks and best of luck to you as well :)

I was diagnoised with PCOS when I was in my early 20s and have NEVER had regular ovulations/cycles. I was told it would be 'almost impossible' for me to get pregnant on my own without any medical intervention, but I did get pregnant twice naturally.

Earlier this spring, we decided we wanted to try for one more baby and didn't want to waste 6 months to see if/when I ever ovulate again so I went to my OB/Gyn and he put me on Metformin 500mg daily. This did apparently make me ovulate as I had two periods in two months, but I didn't know anything about OPKs or how to track ovulation, so we missed the window both months. Then I didn't ovulate for about 3 months. So I went back to the DR. and he put me on Provera to induce bleeding and then he put me on 50mg Clomid to help induce ovulation. The second round last month seemed to do the trick because I just got a BFP yesterday morning.

So although I am sure there are varying degrees of PCOS, it is very possible to get pregnant and have a healthy baby with either some luck, or medical intervention (or both)!

Best of luck!

I was diagnosed with PCOS and Im pregnant. I tried for a child for 5 years and nothing, got diagnosed was put on metformin and Clomid and conceived within 3 months! :)

Metformin is a diabetes medicine sometimes used for lowering insulin and blood sugar levels in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This helps regulate menstrual cycles, start ovulation, and lower the risk of miscarriage in women with PCOS. Long-term use also lowers diabetes and heart disease risk related to high insulin levels
