hi,

i was diagnosed with PCOS when i was 16, i'll be 25 this year and this is our 3rd month of TTC. not long, i know! the "problem" is, we've been NTNP for almost 3 years now. he works away, so i've always brushed it off as bad timing each month, but secretly, i have been a bit worried. anyway, my cycle is irregular in the sense that it can be anything between 25-35 days, but i don't miss periods anymore, that settled down about 5/6 years ago.

i decided to go for a blood test to check progesterone levels, which they did at 21 DPO, and the results were normal, which my doctor said means i'm ovulating. i do sometimes get the signs of ovulation, with the EWCM, but that isn't very often and worst luck, i got it the very month i was having the blood tests AND when my fiance wasn't at home >.<

would it be worth going back to get another test? i wasn't sure since at the appointment, my doctor did say that for every month i skipped ovulation, i'd also be skipping my period, which i'm not.

IDK, i guess i was just "hoping" that would be the problem, since it'd explain the lack of a baby and also they can give you pills for it. also, the "bad timing" was just my way of coping, more often than not, he's been home during the week i should be ovulating. meh.

i'm not overweight, i eat pretty healthily, exercise, hardly ever drink and i'm not under any stress ATM, so what could be the problem?

sorry for the length! x

Hi there

Seen as you've only been actively trying for 3 months I would give yourself at least another 6-9 before getting too worried. I know you've been NTNP for 3 years but you really could of missed the egg. I would also suggest, if your not doing this already, taking your BBT every morning and using OPK's around Ov time so that way you'll know if you've Ov'd that month or not.

If your 21day bloods were fine then its prob a good sign. If after another 6-9 months (which will be around a year of trying by then) I would go back to the DR for more tests. Statistically its takes an average of 1 year to get pregnant so your well within the time frame - and your lucky your only 25 (I wish I was again....)

Good luck with what ever you decide to do - enjoy these next few months of trying (Ive been actively TTC for nearly 3 years and its getting boring....:haha:)
