Is it normal to spot with PCOS? I've been spotting since before Christmas. It's only really when I wipe, sometimes a slight stain on my pants. I don't understand it! I have irregular bleeding, but it has always been like a period every 2 weeks, sometimes a little longer. I thought it was implantation bleeding at first, but it can't be now it has gone on for this long! :nope: It's always brown/pink in colour, only once has it been red since the spotting started.

Thanks in advance for any replies. :)

I've also had stringy, clear discharge with it too - like when I ovulate, but I can't be ovulating this often?

Have you tested?

Failing that I'd get your hormones checked out. Something isn't right. I've only had mid cycle bleeding a couple of times once on a 9 mth cycle the other on a medicated cycle.

Hello everyone! I'm a newbie, and just recently began TTC #2. I have hypothyroidism and PCOS, for quite sometime now, I might add. I used to have spotting in between periods, my hormones were all over the place. Now that my thyroid is under control, I have no spotting. I agree with tommyg, get checked out, it'll be a lot harder to conceive without controlling your hormones. It took me 6 years to conceive my son who is 3 now. I luckily found help with an amazing fertility specialist who ran all kinds of hormoe tests and found out I wasn't ovulating, and had PCOS. I never got to take clomid, or any other medication, because I simply lost weight (per his recommendation) and bam, I was pregnant naturally. Loosing at least 10% of your current body weight can do wonders for people with PCOS! Hope this helps and GL. Right now, I am 2 days late, so far bfn. It's ok though, I know what I have to do!

Hello! Thanks for your reply :) I've joined slimming world now, really determined to lose some weight! I'm not massive, I'm a size 14/16 - but I'm bigger than I'd like to be!

Yup, you are definitely not big! I am much bigger than you, a size 20:cry:, I know the struggle... I am working on lossing some weight, too. I've currently lost appx. 10lbs!!! (With the help of metformin @ 2000 mg) btw, it's my first time taking it. im not quite sure what's going on with me, but I am 4 days late. I will test tomorrow morning, if I can wait that long. Hopefully I get my :bfp: FX.. But if not, oh well. I'll continue to work on my weight loss.

Just wanted to update that I got my period today (1/11) at 5 days late,:cry:, but then again it gives me peace! Also, I will start charting so my chances of conceiving can increase! GL, if I see I am not ovulating I will probably head to a fertility specialist!

I have my appointment booked at the infertility clinic on the 30th Jan. Sorry AF came! :hugs: I hope we both get our :bfp: soon! X

Update: I found out that I was indeed pregnant, but I must have had a chemical pregnancy :(. I just discovered that my negative FRER turned positive while I shoved it in a drawer and never looked at it again. Since I had no clue when I got my period, I am less hurt... GL everyone. I would post a pic of my HPT but I have no clue how to post a pic.
