Backstory, I have PCOS, and without medicine I only have a few cycles a year. We have been TTC since September 2012,. I had been on Clomid and Metformin from last August to November but it makes me so emotional and sad so I've been taking a break.

My cycles actually stayed regular after stopping Clomid until April when I had a really long cycle again. So for this last cycle I took Clomid (with Dr. approval) once more just because I wanted to keep my cycles normal if I could. We are supposed to get a specialist referral in August so we are just kind of biding our time.

We didn't time BDing at all and I didn't temp or take any OPKs so I estimate we BD'ed three times the week I ovulated. I don't even know how late I am! I've been feeling off for about a week and it started to dawn on me a few days ago that maybe I was pregnant! It's hard to ever believe that's possible because we have been trying with no results for so long!

DH asked if I would wait to buy a test because I have PCOS and my cycles are usually really long or nonexistent and honestly I always try to wait a long time because I hate seeing BFN and wasting money on tests.

But this morning I thought I just needed to know so I pulled out an IC and it popped up positive right away! I checked the package and it was expired last October so I used two more IC's, a different brand, and they also popped up positive! I was literally dying so I ran to the store and bought an Answer Early Response test, and it also popped up positive!

I didn't know what to do and even though I've always envisioned telling DH in a fun way all I could do was hand him the test and say, "Well I don't know how to do this but here you go!" And then he said, "Hey I got you pregnant!" Haha :)

Oh my gosh, I am dying

Thank you!

My best guess is I am 16 to 19 DPO so that might be why the tests are so dark! I am so glad they are otherwise I might not have believed it!

Congratulations!! :wohoo:
I wish you a very happy and healthy 9 months!

Congrats! Great story! So glad to hear of another PCOS'er getting her BFP!!!

Congratulations, that's amazing!!

Great story! HuuUuUUge Congrats!

Similar boat here, first BFP this week (I'm the announcement that says First BFP ever after almost three years.)

It is an overwhelmingly SHOCKING feeling, isn't it? (I had cute plans of how to tell hubby too. instead I just screamed... and then cried, lol)

Congratulations! I hope to see you around the 1st Tri forum!

Congratulations!! Haha, his reaction is hilarious! I love reading these stories of the ladies who have tried so hard and want it so bad, and then it FINALLY happens. Often when you least expect it and are feeling pessimistic. Enjoy these next 9 months and beyond!!
:)

Oh Congratulations!!!!! That's so amazing!!

I had a similar experience, after almost 3 years, I had all these cute thoughts about how to tell the husband. But instead I just screamed, and then broke down and sobbed.

Yay for both of you!!!!
