Hi I'm just looking for people who may be in a similar situation and want to be buddies.
A little about me: My husband and I started trying for a baby in 2011.We were pretty much NTNP until we got married in Sept. 2013. At that point I started tracking my af. They were irregular and had been that way since it started when I was 13. I had brought this up to my OB a few times throughout my teens and early 20's, but was told it was "normal". In 2014 I started temping and using ovulation strips. After a few months of no positives and my charts being all over the place I decided to find a new OB to get a different opinion. After checking all my hormone levels she referred me to an endocrinologist as she suspected PCOS. After all the tests my endocrinologist confirmed that I did have PCOS. Finally answers!! He put me on metformin and referred to a fertility specialist. In May of 2015 I started a monitored femara cycle. They did internal ultrasounds every few days to check follicle growth. I ended up ovulating a little later than they had thought I would, but finally there were 2 mature follicles and I got a positive ovulation test a day later for the first time ever. Yay! My bloodwork confirmed ovulation, however my progesterone was super low so I was put on progesterone suppositories. I ended up with a bfp a few days later I had slow rising hcg, which was another worry. It all worked out though and 9 months later I gave birth to my daughter.
So here we are again trying for #2! After having Emma we decided not to prevent at all as we were ok with it happening naturally. However, its been a year and a half with no luck and we really want her to have a sibling somewhat close to her age so we thought it was time to get some help. I did have an ultrasound done about 2 months back that showed my ovaries are covered in "cysts". I have an appointment next week and the plan is to start femara as soon as my next cycle starts. I'm excited, but also a bit nervous. I'm just hoping and praying things go well!
I know that this was long so if you read through thanks!
