Heeeeellllllllloooooo :) I was wondering if anyone else is dealing with PCOS and also trying to conceive?? I've had PCOS since I was 16. My husband and I have been trying to conceive now for almost half of our marriage (2yrs next in Oct. :hugs:) Just wanted to know how long it took for you to have a successful pregnancy and what all did you do throughout your pregnancy (i.e; diets, exercise, clomid & metformin)

I was diagnosed at 25 , clomid dident help ,
Exercise and a high protein low carb diet helped me conceive .

Hiya :hi:

We were TTC for 5 years. I did take a long time to go to the doctor though as I was worried what the outcome would be. I found out I had pcos so I had to lose 2st and then was given clomid and I conceive my little boy on our 3rd round. I then managed to conceive naturally to our surprise but sadly that ended in a mmc at 10 weeks. I've also had 2 very early losses conceived on clomid. We've been trying actively again for 10 months and I'm on my 3rd round of clomid and Metformin now. Hoping that's enough to get another rainbow baby.

Wishing you lots of luck on your journey x

Clomid was the trick for me, possibly with the help of Metformin. The first year of TTC, I wasn't ovulating due to PCOS. When I started taking Metformin, I started getting AF again, but I still had long cycles. Once I started taking 50mg of Clomid, I was fertile; I got pregnant on Cycles 1, 4 & 5. Cycle 1 I had a mc around 6 weeks, Cycle 4 was a CP, and this current pregnancy is from Cycle 5.

Edit- also, I continued to take Metformin (1500mg) until I hit 12 weeks with the pregnancy.

I was diagnosed at 22 after TTC almost 2 years, and I fell pg naturally shortly later. We've not been on bc since the birth of LO in December 2013 and I'm now on my first month of clomid but I'm thinking it hasn't worked, although I do think I ovulated.

It's a horrible situation to be in, but it is doable. Good luck :flower:

Thank you ladies for sharing! I'm going back on 2500mg metformin and have to take a few test after having an appointment with my infertility specialist!

I was dx officially with pcos in 2008 but had suspected it for several years. We ttc/ntnp for 8 years. Well I finally got some clomid and fell pregnant first round. I had also been on metformin for a couple of years.

Well fast forward to now. We have been ntnp/ttc for the last 10ish months. I have done one round of clomid and one round of femara with no luck. I didn't even ovulate!! So I am on day 2 of a high fat, low carb diet. I seem to remember I was doing that the first time I got pregnant. So I am planning to do that for the next 3-4 months, hopefully lose some weight and then try another medicated cycle in February.
