Strange i know lol. This year will be my first year with a cat while the tree will be up. What do you do to keep them off it? Or do i just leave him to pull baubles off and then tidy up as i go? Im so scared he'll pull the whole tree down even though hes only little :haha: xxx

I'm also worried about this, we had our kitty last Saturday and he's only 5months old so still playful.

We had a cat for four years. She used to climb up the inside of the tree and cause all sorts of mischief. I'd recommend using parcel string and drawing pins to tack the tree to the wall so it doesn't get pulled down :)

Our 3 year old cat doesn't bother with the tree at all, or the presents, just not interested. But we used to have a cat that as a kitten would climb it, so we broke up our old tree from the year before and stuck the bits in a cardboard box for her as a decoy, she was far more interested in the big box of christmas tree bits and bobs to roll about in than the actual tree.

one of our cats would climb up the inside, it was near the window seat could use string and pin it to the base of that..this year we have moved but only one cat...the good one that only plays with decs...just see how they go...we may have to move some from the bottom x

My parents old cat never bothered with the tree but ahe was 17yrs they havr recently got a 2yr cat and is extremely playful so there dreading putting there tree up, were getting acat after xmas so this is going to be my worry next year. X

My 3 year old cat doesnt bother but my mums cat climbs inside and sleeps in it :dohh: she just leaves it and sorts it out once hes climbed down! X

I had no tree decorations last year asq my extremely insane cat kept shimmying up the middle of the tree and sitting there, and then diving off the edge of the branches.

I'm hoping this year as she's going out and sleeps with us rather than in the living room, I'll get a proper tree!! Xx

When our cat was a kitten, he was always knocking the tree over :dohh: But now he just ignores it :)

we had 3 cats the last few years though just 2 now (one disappeared in august) and they have been fine so far. even as kittens. they were curious but mainly just batted a couple of low hanging baubles and laid under it.
