period anyone??

My love is 8 months old. I had light spotting about 6 weeks ago and nothing since. I assumed I would get a period within a month or so after that but nothing. She is eating some solids but not as much as my older 8 months. I haven't taken a pregnancy test or anything since I'm on the mini pill but I'm starting to get a bit concerned. Any thoughts?

Mini pill can completely stop periods anyway in some women. That spotting may have been breakthru bleeding.

You can get bleeding that isn't like a real period while breastfeeding and you can get breakthrough bleeding on the minipill. If you have taken the pill like you are supposed to, you are not very likely to be pregnant.

I didn't get my period back until a week before my son's first birthday! I was also on the mini pill until he was 16mos old. He started only nursing at night after that and then I was able to get back on the regular 21day pill. Now I have regular periods again.

My son is 8 mo the old and I haven't had a period yet either. It's not uncommon to not have a regular period while breastfeeding and also while on the mini pill. When I started the mini pill I had some spotting but I was also only like 6 weeks pp. I stopped if when my son was 6 months bc I'm not worried about getting pregnant as we did IVF to conceive.

I came on here looking for similar advice allthough i stopped breast feeding a few weeks ago, my son is nearly 8 months still no period but the last 3 days ive had period pains all day but nothing Its driving me mad now, i am on the mini pill too and have had no bleed since right after the birth x
