Period confusion

I know while I am TTC my period can be different, but I just don't get it. I have undergone two IUI's and am waiting on the results of the second one that I will find out tomorrow. I have already taken 2 tests and both were negative. I'll take one again tomorrow, but it most likely will be negative. My issue is that I started bleeding a bright red blood on Wednesday, but then it quickly turned to a brown when I wiped. Then, it went brownish pink, then not much of anything, then it went to gown sometimes and red other times. The whole time though, not a good, medium flow. It was never heavy. Like I said, I've taken 2 HPT's and I'll take another tomorrow, but confused.... Ideas ? I do actually go in to see my Dr. Tomorrow. If I find anything out, I'll post. This happen to anyone else?
