Period first/last day...maybe TMI..need help

Hello everyone,

I have a question: How do you count your period? What do you consider first day and last day...

I mean (maybe TMI).... approximately day and a half before I get ,,real,, period I see little light colored blood when I wipe, only after I pee. No discharge otherwise. And day later I get real period.
Does that count as a Day 1 or you wait until you really bleed.

I am sorry, if that's TMI or just awkward question, but I am trying to build my chart

You wait until it's your full blown period (where you have to use a tampon or pad) spotting doesn't count

You count day one as full blown red that requires tampon or pad!! I always thought it was the brown discharge but I was wrong!
