period missed by 1 day, when shouls i test?

since 7 dpo i was getting cramping like af was due.
my cycle is 28 days and i normally get cramping day before or on the day.
took a test friday 12 dpo came up
i dont want to get my hopes up and my shows up

If you can wait another few days I would. The tests are more accurate one you've missed atleast 1 day of your period. I know it's hard. I was 9 days late and thought I was pregnant since, but it was a faulty line with Clear Blue - don't use them! Aunt flow came today.
