so i'm still as happy as I was this morn, but now I have a tummy ache and I panic....do tell me that it's normal to feel aches and pains this early? Feels like period pains.......aaaaaaaaaaarghhhhh I panic, wish i could stop it.

I heard that alot of people get period-like pains before they find out they are pregnant. And because your only almost 5 weeks (Congratulation BTW!!) it's probably just another pregnancy sign. But if you are really concerned you should go to the Doctor. Good Luck!!

Totally normal. As long as you are not bleeding or doubled over in pain, it is totally normal.

I get it,too. Sometimes i get strange fluttery feelings in the pelvic regions, and sometimes I have what feels like period cramps.

I had it a LOT really early early on, it's no big deal so long as there isn't any bleeding and you're not in terrible pain. It definietly is scary though. Congrats, btw!

I had really bad period pains when i first found out i was pregnant this time, doctor said it was problies just implantation pains!!! hope this is same for you. Gud luck with your pregnancy.

I actually thought I was gonna come on my period they got that bad LOL. Don't worry, I've learnt EVERYTHING is normal in pregnancy!

And even if you are bleeding or doubled over in pain you're not necessarily gonna lose it. I've been to the hospital crying in pain, bleeding red blood, and I still have a happy healthy little fetus :)

Believe me I know what you mean!!1 I have slight achy pains somewhat like period pains almost every day....Not all day they come and go but they are scary... It's supposed to be normal though as lon as there is no blood or heavy persistant pain!!!! Good luck

Every single day up until 13 weeks, I thought...well, ok, AF is coming today for sure!!
The pains are identical, just to mess up your mind.
But it never comes, so you just ignore it.

That's what I was thinking at first, too. Then I looked on mycycle.com and saw that I had missed and by quite a while as well.

:hugs:

Its hard not to worry in early pregnancy. But those pains are totally normal, as long as your not bleeding heavily. I'm sure everthing is ok :hugs:

I told the dr. today that I had some light cramping (period like pains) and she didn't seem too concerned. Told me if it got worse or if I started bleeding to go immediately to the hospital.

I get the aches too but i never can work out if its period pains or the constipation!!!

I got it too in the very beginning. Kept taking pain pills as I thought I was getting cramps. I think this is very normal as your body is stretching out. Hope it's not too painful and congrats on your pregnancy!

The "period pains" you feel, if they feel like cramps you usually get during your period, it sounds like your uterus is expanding to make room for baby. I had similar cramps when I was about 5-6 weeks. And its completely normal :)

I had mine for a week and a half or so, since Monday I haven't had any. I would bet with every thing else to do with pregnancy it all depends on the person as to if you get them or not and how long!
