I have an 11 month old son who I'm still nursing. My husband and I want to try for a 2nd baby around the time that he is 1, so at 9 months when my periods still hadn't returned I cut back on his night nursing. It worked like a charm, and I got my period on August 12th. We weren't ready to start trying just yet, so we've been mostly using contraception. Now that he's 11 months we're ready to start trying in earnest, but I haven't gotten my period again. I've also started nursing at night again (every other night, DH and I take turns getting up with my son) because I couldn't keep up with pumping enough bottles for every night and the days that he's with his nanny. Is it possible to re-suppress your periods with too much nursing? I've taken a pregnancy test and it was negative.
