Periods delayed by 9 days, BFN

I am 37 yrs old and my husband is 38. We have been TTC for 2.5 years. I've had 4 IUIs all have failed. Doc says it's unexplained infertility. He asked us to go for IVF. I took my time and finally decided to go for it with the August cycle.
However, this time nature had something else in mind. Had my periods last on 7/15 and then I was next due to start on 8/9. Nothing happened. Had all the symptoms of being pregnant. Took 2 preg tests and BFN. 8/16 and 8/17 had spotting and 8/18 morning I had a normal flow.
Shattered is what I feel today.
Am confused to start my IVF or wait until next cycle?

Hi hun...im 10 days late and bfn...

No idea why but could ur spotting be implantation so test agaim in a few days

I decided to go for IVF, so went for my FSH test.
FSH came as 10.6 which according to the nurse is High. She said waiting one month is not going to get any better. According to her they would increase the stimulants in my treatment.

I decided to give myself one more month and go for IVF in the next cycle.

Hoping it's the right decision!!
