Moraine - your spiders are gorgeous! They scare me a bit, like most bugs, but they're fascinating. I didn't know they could be so pretty! Do you have any pictures of the slings? I'd love to see a baby tarantula, that's something I've never even seen a picture of before

Spiders give me the hee-bee-jee-bees, but tarantulas, not so much. I still wouldn't touch one and I highly believe in "to each, his own" so kudos to you for enjoying all your lovey hairy tarantulas & showing 'em off...

I've seen tarantulas in the wild, in the Dominican Republic, they live in the ground & when you walk near their hole, they come RIGHT OUT! I think they're being defensive or something. I arrived at night to where I was staying & come to find out the next day, the walls were pretty hole-y & then, to find the tarantulas the next day right outside our rooms in the ground was pretty creepy, I must say. A caged-up tarantula isn't so bad, but not knowing where they are is very creepy.

Here's my TreeFrog when it was a baby (just turned into a frog), raised from a tadpole. When it got kinda big, I let him/her go. It was just a temporary project for my toddler as a tadpole, but it grew into a very FAR-JUMPING frog! Ha ha... The tadpole came from our backyard, so I figured it safe to be released to there. I think a couple 'o times, he/she's tried to come back in!! Ha ha...

Here's our dog, she's 4 years old and a rescue! When we got her, she had a broken toe and boy was that a lot of work to keep a bandage on a puppy! Lots of vet visits to get that bandage put back on!! Don't know what kind of breed she is, the vets & everybody we meet have their guesses, but who knows? Only God. Maybe a Whippet or Greyhound mix? She's pretty big, about 60 lbs. When people ask me what "kind of dog" I have... I say, "Orange." It usually gets a good laugh.

We also have 3 cats. The two boys are brothers, one's 23 lbs & the other is about 20 lbs. The vet said they'd be healthy at about 17 lbs, so they're pretty big-boned cats as is. I have pics of them somewhere on a disk, not on this computer. They're not very photogenic. Ha ha...

PS: I love seeing ALL the pics. Everybody's furbabies & loveys are GORGEOUS!!

WOW! Those tarantulas are beautiful!! I've never seen such colourful spiders before, thanks for sharing! I'm like a lot of people, I can't stand house/garden spiders but I don't have a problem with Tarantulas. I think it's cause they're so big and move a lot slower and they're legs are more in proportion to their bodies, I don't consider them "real" spiders, if that makes any sense?

My baby: Chase Lee Winston.
He is a Yorkshire Terrier that we got from a breeder in KY (I live in TN, 8 hour drive there and back ).
He is 5 pounds now and 1 year 2 months (almost 3) old.

He is my baby, actually hte family baby, and we all love him to death!! He is very smart, smoiled, and stingy (sp?!)!!!! But he is our only baby (for now ) and we made him that way

I'm scared to think about what it will be like when the baby gets here.. he is already really jealous (of other dogs, children, etc) and will sit on our laps so that we cannot hold them.. lol

pictures 1 & 2 are with long hair, like he has right now
picture 3 is right after his first grooming, he was tangled (his hair was almost floor length) so they just shaved him (it was also the beginning of summer time) and left some head hair so I could pony tail it
picture 4 is a baby picture, right after we got him
picture 5 is a few months after we got him.

sorry so many pictures.. like I said he is our baby. hehe.

Plus I'm currently looking after my in-laws Christmas Bird - We've bought them a Cockateil for Christmas

This is the bunny we are trying to sell. She's called Flower and the last of a litter of 5 baby bunnies we had in August. She's a chinchilla x lop rabbit and very beautiful.

This is my male chinchilla rabbit. He's called TQ and is the most adorable rabbit I've ever known. He loves hugs and is very affectionate.

This is Ted. He is my BIG baby. We adopted him from the animal shelter after finding his listing on petfinder.com. He's a sweet doggie that loves to cuddle and give kisses. He also is laying next to me right now and just farted. STINKY!

This is Penny. He's a sweet little cat that loves to cuddle and look out the window. I carry him around like a baby. I even have a pet stroller that I take him around in during the summer. He loves it!
