I did post about this last week in Postnatal Support but figured I might try here too as it's been ongoing.

I've got an infection in my vein from where I had a drip in hospital. For a start it felt like someone had smacked me in the arm constantly and you could feel my vein all swollen underneath.

I went to my GP last week who looked at it and said the main concern is that my arm doesn't go red otherwise I'd need antibiotics but as it wasn't I was given cream to put on it. The pain has mostly gone now, it only hurts to touch and not to move like it did. That said my vein underneath feels huge, bigger than it did last week although it isn't red. Is that anything to worry about? I don't want to go back to the quacks if it's nothing and afterall I'm not in pain but my vein does feel like a worm

I'd go back just to be safe, better to get it checked out incase it turns more serious.
