We are looking at a photographer at the moment,

Our album will be 20 pages with an acrylic front with our chosen picture on, she will stay from my house to the first dance, do all the photos we want, plus ones she wants to do herself, she will take pictures for individual guests if they want, provide two small version of our album for our parents and provide our photos as a preview book to choose from ( we will get to keep this book also which will have small photos of all the ones she has taken from the day....all for £1200....is this reasonable?

Whos the photographer hun? (I love looking at photographers websites) It does sound pretty reasonable to me - is it a storybook album? How many images in the book? xxx

My photographer charges £695 for that package. He is doing us CD only for £250!

It seems to be pretty "normal" to have togs at over 1K but it is only reasonable if you have that much money. To me, its extortionate

We are paying £350 for 4 hours photography, an album of proofs- every picture just not touched up, an album of 20 pictures and the CD with all pictures on. We couldn't justify spending anymore than that x

Have you compared prices to other photographers in your area? Im getting something similar for about £700, the cheapest I've found where I live.

Not too bad of a price
maybe have a search for other photographers
Also see if they are at any local wedding fayres, thats when we booked ours as they had a big dicount on the day.

It's fine if you have the money but paying over 1k for a photgrapher seems silly to me! We are paying £329 for a package of all our photo's printed, an album and a copyright free cd which is perfect for us! It's the cheapest we found with the next cheapest being £700 and thats just for a cd package!

Sounds really reasonable to me!!

Our photographers are with us from me starting to get ready until the very end of the night, we get a guest book, and DVD with all images. And a leather bound album.

They are about $4000 which is about £2650 at today's exchange rate. I know it's a lot but we looked at other photographers who were less than half the price and we didn't like them at all. This wa y we knoe we are going to be over the moon with our result.

Oh, and it also included an engagement/tiral shoot which we had in October.

I live in a very small area in Scotland, so theres not much choice to be honest, there are 3 main photographers and she seems to be the cheapest, she does do smaller packages for less but as I see it the photographs will be the only thing to remember my day by other than memories! Trash the dress shoot is also included aswell, my sister paid £1500 for alot less just because her photographer was an award winner, and her pics were fab but her album the way he had put it together wasnt as great as it could have been!
