Thought I would start a new thread to discuss all things photoshop, was posting bits in the photography thread but due to only half us using the programme I struggle to get my questions answered... so come here for tips, advice or to ask a question!! Ok my first problem is.... With my new camera.. Im struggling to open photos in photoshop... any ideas?? x
I've been using Photoshop more or less every day for the last 6 years. I'm still no expert, but I'm happy to help. I've used it more for artistic work and rendering, rather than the technical stuff, so I'll be looking for technical tips as well.
cheers hun, just thought I would split the threads, cos i know in the photography thread some dont use it so thought we could share tips here I did a pic on my break will upload when I get home what do you do to your photos?
I'm here too! I do some stuff, but need to learn more! I use Photoshop Elements 6, but also have CS3 that I toy with on occasion.
I do artwork type stuff. This isn't a good example, but you get the idea... https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/sublime_envy/personalised%20pics/manip2.jpg original pics https://equine-resource.deviantart.com/art/Respected-General-34411748 https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/sublime_envy/White_2_19_by_chove_stock.jpg
This was drawn in AutoCad and rendered in Photoshop: https://images-0.redbubble.net/img/art/size:large/view:main/3086070-4-cover-sheet-for-my-portfolio.jpg I used to design carpets for the Saudi Royal family and this was a section of one of the over-the-top designs I used to have to do. This was one of the more simple rugs that was also drawn and rendered the same way:
Do you mean for your photography? This is how I do my borders: Image > Canvas Size If you want an even border all the way round, tick the box next to <Relative> Width = choose your width Height = choose your height (i.e. 2cm width & height for an even border) Then choose the canvas extension colour from the drop-down list. Example: https://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs043.snc1/4401_107061100019_502445019_3069346_5818330_n.jpg Thin white line: Width = 1mm Height = 1mm Black border: Width = 2in Height = 2in Hope this makes sense.
