anyone got them/had them after having their LO?

I'm in agony, I had an emcs but i pushed for nearly 3 hours in total so think thats how I got them I dont recall having them in pregnancy but it might have contributed.

At first it started with a bit of blood on the toilet paper and feeling like I was pooing razor blades. It soon went to the point where I can feel the piles bulging out and pooing is ridiculously painful I find I'm too scared to go a lot of the time. My bum burns, stings, itches and throbs constantly.

Have tried pessaries and ointments but nothing has helped.

I havent been to the docs yet but I'm going to go just a bit scared as to what they'll do?

hiya :flower: i don't have any advice for you hun but just wanted to say sorry you are suffering with this, i remember your LO had the same due date as mine! xx

I had them while I was pregnant, but now I've got them again :(. I'm using Germoloids cream and special Preparation H toilet roll!
xx

Go to the doctors - honestly they have seen it all before and will be able to prescribe stronger stuff and also laxatives to help pain when pooing. Honestly go and get this horrible problem sorted. x

thanks girls I've managed to get a docs appt but they cant get me in for another week :( I've got some lactulose so will take some of that for a bit til I go :( so damn painful!!

I do remember :) thanks honey how are you both doing?

Ava eventually arrived by emergency section after 31 hours of labour and failed forceps on 29 December lol she got her big old head stuck! Not surprising as she was 8lb 15oz  I'm only 5ft and a size 10 lol eek!xx

I never had them while pregnant but got them 2 days after delivery. My MW saw them and got my GP to prescribe me anusol HC which has helped. You can also get it over the counter at the pharmacy.

not an easy birth then!!! my LO was born the 20th at 4.04am, i'd been fully dilated from about midnight so it seemed like i'd been pushing forever but i had a particularly rubbish midwife who didn't know what she was doing!! hope you and your little lady are good xx

lol no it was possibly the most horrendous birth :haha: crap about the midwife!

Mine were really good thankfully I had two for the time I was in labour, was pushing 3 hours in total - 2 hours trying to bring her down in the delivery suite then nearly an hour in theatre with the forceps (hence the piles from all this pushing lol).

Lost quite a bit of blood and had to have a transfusion and poor Ava had to have a drip of antibiotics as my waters had been gone so long but thankfully we're fine and she's thriving!! :D xx

I went to the docs about mine as they started out just with a bit of blood on the tissue and they got so uncomfortable I couldn't take it any more lol.

All the doc did was check them visually as they were prolapsed (sorry if TMI) and prescribed me some cream with local anaesthetic in it and they do feel a lot better than they were and are slowly going :D

Don't forget go to the docs - get him to prescribe you some cream - you don't have to pay for the prescription as you've got an extemption card (we don't get anything else lol)

thanks honey at my 8 week postnatal check they prescribed some uniroid HC but its rubbish doesnt even numb it lol!

managed to get in to the docs but not til next Thursday :( x

I got them really bad (I also started a thread on here). So bad at first I thought I had a rectal prolapse! Everything the doctor prescribed, stung, irritated and made them worse. Mine totally cleared up using boots own cream and working on pushing them back in. They were all gone after 2 weeks.

thanks hun :flower: I keep pushing mine up and getting warm baths too and the pushing back up defo helps lol x

Same Ness

Doc gave me some lactulose solution and a cream which worked quite well, but still sore as hell! I have a horrible feeling I have a lesion as there is nothing - well, there!! Just praying it gets better - ASAP!!!!

Im a sufferer too  Never had them before until I was in the later part of pregnancy with my Daughter

Ive been using creams from Boots, but they just wont go! :nope::blush:

I don't have piles but had enormous amounts of pain pooing for the first week or so due to my episiostomy inscision running incredibly close to my bum. Started on 'Movicol' which is a stool softener. Really helped!

I used a stool softener and Tucks pads. I also found the gently massaging while in the shower helped. I am now 3 weeks pp and they no longer bother me. I can still feel one of them, but it no longer hurts. I only pushed twice and I got them!
