Hi ladies,
I'm in need of some detective work here. I have a Spectra S2 and have been pumping 3x daily at work. Today, as I'm putting my flanges on for my second pump of the day, I notice that there is a tinge of pink in the tiny bit of milk that got stuck where the diaphragm is. It's worse on the left side than the right. At first, I thought maybe I was bleeding (because pumping has been a bit painful for me lately, plus my son accidentally bit me this morning when he sneezed while feeding) but I can't find any cuts or abrasions on me. And the pumped milk has no sign of pink to it - definitely white. Next thought was maybe it's some sort of mold?? But the only pink mold I could find on google is bathroom mold... I also tried Googling "Spectra pink milk pump" and similar keywords, but found nothing.
I wash my parts every night, but it's impossible to find the time to wash them at work, so I've kind of been making do... Getting a personal fridge for my room is in the works. For now, they go into a bag that has ice packs.
Anyway, Google's not helping, so I'm wondering if any of you ladies have any insight for me??
Thanks in advance!
