PIP implants ??

I am 37 weeks and 3 days I had breast implants done 2 years ago and have just found out they are the French PIP ones that have been on the news, does anybody know if there is any risk to my baby while being pregnant or with breast feeding ??

I have no idea. I have saline implants.

The risk is supposedly due to possible side effects (e.g a FEW women developed cancer, but whether this was due to the implants OR would have happened anyway is not clear). I would speak to your GP, but based on what I have read, you should be fine -- I think that they are very isolated situations, BUT due to problems about 20-30 years with older types of implants, the French government are taking no chances.....

I haven't heard of a cancer risk? I thought there was just a risk of them rupturing..
