Pizza hut pizza?

Would any of you ladies know if its safe to eat during pregnancy? Can't find anything on their website stating that their cheese is pasteurised. Thanks

Yeah as far as I know chedder and mozzarella type cheese is fine. It's any of the blue veiny type cheeses that you need to be careful of.

Im sure its fine and im pretty sure i look like a pizza now as ive eaten sooooo many over the last few months!!!.....................guess whos got a lot of gym time to put in when baby is here!! lol

and even if it isn't, it's heated up in a veeeeery hot oven that sure kills the bacteria

yeh its unpasteurised not pasteurised you need to be aware from.

In the US, all restaurants have to serve pasteurized cheese. I only know of one store that's even allowed to sell unpasteurized, and that's because it is a very old family-owned farm that got grandfathered past the law.

I'm pretty sure they use the traditional mozzarella cheese, don't they? And with it heated up, I don't see a problem. I do stay away from pepperoni and ham and such though but other than that pizza is fine....

Listeria doesn't like being hot so I think you're safe whether it's cheese or meat that you're worried about as it will have been killed off when the pizza is cooking.

Most supermarket/mass produced feta is made with pasteurized cows milk these days too so it's also not something to worry about. I can go through one of those little packs of Apetina feta with olives in oil in one go! nom nom.

I've had it, sure it's fine. You'd be hardpressed to find a takeaway place that would use unpasturised cheeses. Too much risk of poisoning their customers I suppose!

Where in the heck do you live that they actually have that?! Ours had it for one football season back in late 06/early 07, and, even though it was like the most popular thing they've ever had, they've never had it again! I loooooooved that stuff and would totally kill for it right now!
