So I know pizza isn't the healthiest food to be eaten during pregnancy, but for those who have had it, which toppings did you have on it?

I had it the other night and wasn't sure which meat toppings would be ok such as ham and salami. I ended up having cheese and some vegetables, but my favourite toppings usually are ham and pineapple.

I'm the same, I've started having vegetarian pizzas just to be safe. Most people would say just eat the meat because it's been heated anyway, but I'm a bit suspect about re-heated meat, and even my midwife told me to stay away from pizza with ham etc on it. Vege pizzas are still yummy anyway!

My midwife told me average pizza ovens are heated extremely Hot so everything is absolutely fine !!!! I've eaten it several times and bubs is fine

I've had all kinds of pizza lol. I've twice been to the Pizza Hut buffet and they put out a variety of pizzas. I've had chicken on there, ham, veggies....maybe bacon? I'm not worried about it tbh.

I've had pepperoni pizza and a piece of my ohs meat feast one. I wouldn't avoid it

I've continued to eat pepperoni pizza regularly throughout my pregnancy, and all is still well :) x

I've still eaten pizza with meat on and all is still going well, I didn't realise that meat on pizza would of been an issue but when I first had pepperoni while preg I was picking it off, still have to odd moment thinking will this harm baby but nice to know that it is ok or we would end up starving xx

I have eaten lots of pizzas  With all sorts of toppings... ham, chicken, pepperoni etc. As they go in the oven I have not worried at all.

Same as the other ladies.

I won't eat raw deli meats etc, but cooked on a pizza is fine.

In fact we had pizza so much one week a while back we joked baby would come out like a pizza!

Going to make our own this weekend (I looove doing the dough in our bread maker - SO tasty) and I will be covering it in pineapple, roquito peppers and BBQ sauce - yum!

When we get frozen ones though we often have either pepperoni or BBQ chicken or something like that.

Just to add - if I'm eating leftover pizza I won't re-heat it if it has any meat on - just in case. But I like cold pizza anyway, so it suits me fine.

I've eaten lots of pizza. I really only like the meat kinds, and also with mushrooms, yum! I haven't worried about it, baby is doing great.

I eat frozen pizza with meat on it, you cook it long enough in the oven.

For some reason, I have no taste for meat on my pizza if we go out, I always get cheese.

Pizza ovens get very, very hot!

I usually eat pizza with veggies and bacon, pregnant or not. It's my fav! :) I had pepperoni once during this pregnancy, but I don't like it much.

Why wouldn't you be able to eat meat on pizza?? I eat deli meats aswel as pizza!! Never ever been told to not eat it?

Deli Meat: Deli meats have been known to be contaminated with listeria, which can cause miscarriage. Listeria has the ability to cross the placenta and may infect the baby leading to infection or blood poisoning, which may be life-threatening. If you are pregnant and you are considering eating deli meats, make certain that you reheat the meat until it is steaming .

never heard of this, where I live we are not told that we shouldn't eat deli meats without heating them! It's not on my list of things to avoid! Strange! I'm glad though as I I avoided that I'd starve lol

My doctor told me to avoid raw meat, raw seafood, and unpasturized cheese. That's all she listed. :) I've eaten cookie dough, and eggs that were still a bit runny, medium rare steak... My baby is doing great. :)

I love my meaty pizzas, not worried about eating them at all. My baby is always active!, so I know not caused any harm.

I worked at a pizza joint, I can assure you that the meat gets very hot. Our oven was at least 500 at all times.

Mmmm- I want pizza now!!! I usually have chicken, mushroom and sweet corn. Chicken fine since it's been heated! :)
