Has anyone used one of these of both and found that one worked better? my son is 3 weeks old and cries every time I feed him and is very gassy. His Dr had me switch his formula but that hasn't helped yet. I was thinking maybe it's the bottle I'm using. I use the tommee tippee bottles.

I was given a set of VentAires, and I've used them a couple of times. I don't have anything negative to say about them, Evelyn just does better on the Nurser bottles from Playtex. :)

I used Dr. Browns and only had one complaint. They are such a freaking pain to clean. I BF until 8 months so I didn't care because he only had an occasional bottle but once I started FF it was SO annoying. I think I heard the VentAires don't have as many little parts.

My daughter has tongue tie and her wind has really reduced since we switched from tommee tippee to dr browns. There are two extra bits to clean but it doesn't bother me - much better than a screaming unhappy baby!

We have both. The Dr Browns are harder to use with the little straw thing, etc but I do think they get less air than the Playtex. We just bought the Playtex ones and the bottom screwing on does worry me too. My favorite are the Born Free though. (When they were younger we loved the 4oz Simulac bottles.)

We've used the Playtex Ventaire wide mouth since 2 months or so. My daughter was very gassy on the Medela bottles, by taking in too much and sucking the nipples down. The Ventaires have been wonderful. I don't find there's too many parts; the bottom cap, the plastic round insert, the bottle, and then the nipple and cap. We can wash bottles pretty quickly, even with the multiple pieces.

We swapped from tt to
Doctor browns at eleven weeks. Two days later his wind disappeared. May well have been a coincidence. But heard so many good reports about dr browns

Dr. Brown bottles hands down! My daughter used them from 1month old. Really helps a lot with gas and excess air intake. You can always buy one bottle and test it, you won't regret it.

Dr browns are brill and helped with dd2 colic was gone within days and after haveing sleepless nights I was happy to spend the money but the only 2 negative I can give is there pricey and they leak if you shake them which is a pain in the ass but they do work 100%
