Hello all
I am very new to this forum having only joined tonight.
According to the doctors I miscarried on 14th January and althoug I had raised HGH levels I am very confused as to what happened.
I found out on the 8th of Jan much to my delight and that of my husbands that we were expecting. However after some quite bad period like cramping and a tiny spot of brown blood we were sent to the early preg unit for a scan. On attendance at the scan it was all very unclear what was happening. They seen that my womb had thickened to 10mm however never mentioned a sac or anything and did a vaginal ultrasound which showed nothing. I then had blood tests which went up then started to fall and the nurse simply told me that it was a miscarriage. Naturally we were devastated however I have no clue what happened - there was no baby and no mention of a sac, the bleed that came on a few days after the ultrasound was not heavy and nothing passed.
I feel absolutely devastated. I feel like there is nobody I can turn to - there was no baby! Even now when I hear of a pregnant friend the jealousy I feel is second to none. I have no idea if I was really pregnant and yet I feel like part of me has been ripped away. Can anybody relate to this or offer some advise? I am so sorry for the long message but I feel so lost and don't know where to turn. xxx

I'm so sorry hun - I can only imagine how devastated you must feel and sending you big HUGS.

I'm sorry I can't offer any advice as I don't know either, they really should have given you more info at the hospital. Did they send you home with a letter for your GP, if so could you perhaps get an appointment with him/her to explain to you. I think you need to speak to someone hun if only for your piece of mind.

Take good care of yourself x

Hi hun,

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Infact, I've just had my 4 th MC last week with a similar story. I MC'd on the 11th Janaury and fell pregnant again straight away. Two weeks ago on saturday I got a :bfp: followed by a digi on the sunday (pregnant 1-2 weeks) all was fine until later in the week I started cramping. I was at my gyn last wed to discuss recurrent MC and I mentioned I was pregnant AGAIN but cramping, he done the bloods and my levels were at 10.

Life is so cruel.

First of all  i am so sorry for your loss and for what you have been through.

It sounds as though you haven't been given the opportunity to find out or discuss what really happened with anyone from a medical point of view, and until you do all the questions and niggles will be eating away at you and driving you mad. I know i had lots of questions and actually still do have a few that i feel i need answering to be able to move on.

I'd definitely recommend making an appointment with your gp and asking for an explanation for your own peace of mind. I'd imagine he or she would have received some info from the early pregnancy unit re: what was found on the ultrasound, so hopefully they'll be able to answer most if not all of the questions you have.

Sorry i can't be more help to you. Take care :hugs:

I'm so sorry for your loss and hope you get the answers you need soon. Please make an appointment like the others have advised with your GP.

I have had a missed mc and have surgery Thursday - it is heartbreaking and unfair but our time will come.

xx

Im sorry you are going through this.. like the other ladies said I would make an appointment to get all your questions answered professionally.

I had a mmc at 9 weeks with identical twins.. but on my emergency scan they found neither of the babies had a heart beat..

Let us know how it goes with your dr. - get all your questions answered.. and it will put your mind at ease... im not saying it will hurt none the less.. but it will help to figure out what all has been happening. :hugs:
