please help, i am worried.....do i call doc/ midwife?

hey ladies,

im 16weeks pregnant, this is my 4th pregnancy but 2nd child.
i had 2 mc before falling with this baby and i dont know if i am being paranoid because of it or if i need to get this checked out??...

basically (sorry tmi) but about 3 out of the last 7 nights i have been back and fourth to the toilet with really bad diarrhea and the most intense and painful stomach cramps!!!
has anyone else had this? is it normal?
please help!!

I've not been in the same situation, but what I will say is if you are worried, phone. They won't think you are being silly. Better to get checked out and it be nothing than to sit there worrying and it turn into something. Hope everything is ok xxxx

give your midwife a call, she'll be able to advise you and it's what they're there for!
i've not had this myself but did get bad trapped wind tummy type pains around 17 weeks that woke me up at night- no diarrhoea though. mine settled after a week or so.

Sounds similar to what i get but i have IBS so i get awful cramps, like contractions and a few mins later have to go to the loo! Do u no if you have this?

It's normal to have diarrhea. Give your MW a call though to put your mind at rest.

Just give them a ring.

Don't be shy. Midwifes and doctors are there to attend you, and having diarrhea during 3 nights in a row, even if you are not pregnat, excuse me, but isn't pleasant. Neither is normal unless you have eaten something that was off.

I hope is nothing important and you recover soon.

Drink lots of water.

I've also had the same feelings but also have IBS due to scarring on my bowels from my appendix removal so for me it's nothing I think of - I go through being constipated, fine and diorreah (SP) possibly all in 1 week but it's been like that for years! lol. If you are at any time concerned phone them it's why we have them also hope you feel better soon

i get this too, and worse when i am pregnant, last time it lasted 4 1/2 hours it was awful

OP- i would contact your gp or midwife though if you are worried x

Best to check with your midwife. Maybe it's a little tummy bug

thank you for all your help,
i dont have ibs and have only started having these problems since being pregnant. so i have spoken to my midwife and she said at the moment it is nothing to worry about as our bodies can do strange things when we are pregnant.

but you poor girls who have ibs, i feel your pain- im just going to count myself lucky that mine is pregnancy related and temporary.
