Hi
Does anyone know why all plug ins from karvol, calpol and olbas have been withdrawn? My little girl has a stinking cold and I've been looking everywhere for these!
Any other suggestions for a cold? We need to get rid of it quickly as she has her first swimming lesson on Saturday?
Xx

Our boots still stocks the calpol plug in? The olbus ones were discontinued though. Have you tried the baby vapour rub?

I didn't know they had? To be honest we didn't think much of the one we had. Didn't seem to make much difference and made my husbands throat "dry".. Drama queen lol.
Anyway best things I found were.. Nasal spray, it's a must for blocked noses, snuffle babe, and open the window in the bedroom very very slightly to let some fresh air in. Hope she feels better soon. It's awful when they are poorly, I'm currently dealing with my baby girl that's had sickness since Friday! Hate winter think I need to hibernate till summer lol. Xxx

We use the calpol one. I just got it in ASDA in the baby aisle.

It works quite well at helping him sleep but it didn't really do anything to the actual cold. It was only a sniffle though.

one thing we did find helpful was propping up one end of the cot with some books, so she wasn't laid flat. It seemed to help her snot drain better, so her chest wasn't as bad in the mornings

I spoke to my pharmacist about this today. Apparently there is a licensing issue so most have been temporarily withdrawn until the legality is sorted out. He is expecting them to return at some point which is fab. The calpol ones are ok, but the karvol ones work so much better and don't have that irritatingly bright nightlight on them.

About a month ago I looked in about four towns for those things, they had the refills in some places but absolutely no plug-ins. Wound up having to get a crazy expensive humidifier ugh.
