Polycystic kidney 20 week scan. Anyone been through this?? X

Hello. I had my 20 week scan couple weeks back where they mentioned the babys kidneys were showing up "bright" brighter than usual but kidneys themsleves were looking normal etc as in not enlarged , enough fluid and bladder was working fine with the kidneys but just this brightness around the area they were abit worried about so went back for a follow up scan and basically the same thing. Ive had two other scans with doctors since then and both been the same, kidneys are looking fine, right size and working fine but just this brightness and light showing up on scan which they have been calling "echogenicity kidney" when i spoke to the doctor yestaday at the scan she mentioned this could be nothing in the end and they could be looking at nothing or it could in some cases mean "polycystic kidneys" and the way she explained about it was like nothing, but when i got home and reading online im now a nervous wreck. I have to keep going back for scans to check on the kidneys every 4 weeks or so but im worried now after this possible polycystic kidney and what it means exactly. Like i said the baby has no cysts and kidneys arent enlarged at the mo but just really upset and worried. Has anyone been thro this or know any info? Fed up of them acting like it nothingg to worry about and explaining it like its nothing then i read all this scary stuff can anyone help at all? Would be really helpful thankyou x

So sorry to hear and I do not have any experience w this specifically but just found at last wk at my 18 wk check up my boy has multicystic dysplastic kidney which only gives him one functioning one. Prayers that everything comes out ok for your little one. I know it's hard to not worry as a mom but just try to stay positive. Good luck!

Thanks hun and sorry about your news too its worrying isnt it. Hope all ends up ok for you and your little one too. I have another scan in 3 - 4 weeks to check again just hoping no cysts and kidneys havent enlarged in the mean time.
