Hello everyone,

New to this site.

So I had an ultrasound on Friday as I'm looking into infertility.

They found that I had PCO but not PCOS as I don't have any symptoms etc.

Has anyone ever had this? I've never heard of it. Can you tell me what advice you were given? They didn't give me any info as my follow up appt isn't for a while. xx

I have this. Scans shows multiple cysts on one ovary, however I have regular cycles and my hormone levels are normal.

They have diagnosed "oligo-ovulation", which is basically just irregular ovulation.
They believe I am sometimes ovulating normally, but sometimes my progesterone is too low and the egg cannot pop out and basically turns into a cyst on my ovary.

I have had 6 months of Clomid which technically worked, as my progesterone levels were high, but I still didn't fall pregnant.

Next step for me is IVF.

I've also started taking Vitex to try and make sure my hormones are balanced.

Oh thanks for replying.

I'm sorry the clomid isn't working. Have they confirmed you have to take IVF as the next step?

Good luck xxx

They have said that IVF is likely to be my best chance of pregnancy.
Forgot to mention, we already have a 10yr old child, so we don't qualify for any NHS treatment. So we'll just keep trying until we can afford IVF.

I think I have this - I was diagnosed with PCOS but apart from cysts and irregular cycles I have no typical symptoms - fell pregnant in 2014 on 3rd round of Clomid and again a few weeks ago on 1st round! Good luck!
