I've recently started weaning from exclusively pumping so we've just started dipping in to our frozen stash. LO has been drinking only defrosted milk for a few days now and since then his poo has been VERY green. I looked it up and it says it could be a hindmilk/foremilk imbalance, but I've always been really good about mixing the the milk from pumping so all the milk has hindmilk in it. This never happened while he was drinking freshly pumped milk. Any ideas??

I think its a science thing. There is an amount of nutrients lost when you freeze milk as it changes the chemical makeup of the milk. Maybe why?

The only time this happened with my frozen milk was when my mum microwaved the milk (against my advice) to defrost it. My son's poo looked the same as normal, white seedy bits and all...only fluorescent green! It was really really odd. I do think the microwave did something structurally to the milk which did creep me out a bit at the time. From my understanding unless it looks like frothy green algae in water it's probably not a foremilk problem xx
