What should the poo of a 7 week old mostly bottle fed baby look like.

Chloe's a kind of dark greeny colour sometime with a bit of yellowy in the middle?????

Sorry, hope noones eating!

I think the dark green bit is the formula poo and the yellow is the breast poo. Ally's sounds similar. He was going up to 4 days without having one...then eariler this week he had 7 dirties in 24 hrs...and now he looks v.skinny and long! Isn't it funny how obsessive we get about poo...

OOh I was hoping you'd answer!! Its seems Ally and Chloe are so similar!!

She had 4 yesterday and was worrying a bit, but I don't think she had one the day before. Sounds like she's going now!!!

Its amazing how much I talk about it, when Mark phones at lunchtime the first thing I tell him is if she's had a poo or not!!

Hannah's strictly formula and we get a bit of both. Her poos start out green and end yellow

I think i read somewhere that sometimes the formula can have extra iron in it and the stuff babies don't need they poo out which makes their poo green.....

Ever wonder how it goes in white and comes out yellow? Maybe from the stomach bile? I also wonder how bits get into it? It does go in liquid.

perhaps it's to do with the brand of formula. Alasdair's are green and yellow. Sometimes first nappy is green, 2nd is green and yellow and third is less, and yellow. The yellow is just like when he was just booby fed. Ally has SMA gold. Maybe his poo is a yellow (or gold!) colour because it is SMA gold. Perhaps, if I switched to SMA white his poo would infact, become white!

Isn't poo exciting. I've just had a drink for the first time since I got pregnant.... and only one!
